1943 Jeep


Just a snippet from the original story, https://hansonmechanical.wordpress.com/2016/01/11/for-petes-sake/ has the full story if you like, but the interesting part was that in WW2 a guy was part of the transportation of Jeeps to Italy with the Merchant Marines, and had a spare rotor... as the military didn't bother with keys when a push button would do... so they would remove the rotor from the distributor to keep their Jeep from wandering off. Well, this guy had a couple spare rotors and would grab a Jeep anytime he needed to get into town for liberty call
